Naturally, It Comes

Several times I’d struck

From the beginning I couldn’t win
But is it called a fight
When your opponent does not defend?

She’d never done me wrong
So why had I pressured her?
It wouldn’t prove I’m strong
And wouldn’t be a show
If it isn’t pure and smooth
The miracle cruelly smothers
That magical flow I gratefully watch
As she casts upon specific others

I never should have harmed
Such a truthful friend
Now my mistakes, my debts, I must pay
And my apologies to you I send

Now our pressure is equal
My foot against the ground,
Energy level full
You give my heart a pound
And take my breath, my toll

My part in this run
Now my only motion
Second by my heart
When I drank your magic potion
